Are all your items Handmade?
Yes, every item on this website is sewn by me. Most of my items are one-of-a-kind meaning you will never see that style bag in the same fabrics other than the one available.
Many items available on this site are are made from patterns that I have purchased, and you should see this reflected in the item descriptions. I ensure that all patterns are allowed for use in selling on a handmade level, per the pattern creator’s wishes.
What should I know about a handmade fabric bag?
Please note that I do not treat the fabrics so items will get dirty with everyday use. I recommend spot cleaning in sections.
Although I do use interfacing to make the fabric sturdier, cotton and linen fabrics will show wear eventually, so normal wear and tear is not guaranteed.
How should I care for my handmade item?
To maintain the beauty and durability of your handmade bag or accessory, spot clean with a damp cloth and mild detergent when needed.
Waxed canvas is a durable, water-resistant fabric that will have creases and some marks which add character to your product after every usage. Spot clean with a stiff bristle lint brush. Avoid prolonged extreme heat. To lessen the appearance of too many distress marks, apply heat with a hairdryer to reset the wax.
Shipping & Returns
Where do you ship?
Currently, I only ship to the US and for items purchased through this shop. I use USPS Ground Advantage™ or Priority Mail® depending on the item, amount of items and the destination. You should receive a tracking number by email once the item has been shipped, but you can contact me if this does not happen and I’m happy to follow up.
How long does it take to ship my order?
All items are ready to ship and will be sent within 1-3 days. If for any reason I cannot ship within that timeframe, I will notify you as soon as possible. Shipping transit times are determined by shipping method (USPS Ground Advantage™ or Priority Mail®) and your location in the country. As soon as your item ships, you will receive a tracking number.
Do you accept returns/exchanges?
I do not accept exchanges and I handle returns on a case-by-case basis. I do stand behind the quality of my creations so if you receive your items and are not satisfied for any reason, please message me about how I can make it right. If your bag has a construction failure with 30 days of receipt, I will correct, fix, or replace your bag for free (client is responsible for shipping to me, I will cover shipping of repaired or replacement item to client). Examples of construction failures include, but are not limited to, zipper teeth failures, seams unraveling, and popping rivets. Construction failures do NOT include abrasions, tears not on a seam, stains, or zipper pull failures, as these are signs of use and not the fault of the maker. If you encounter a construction failure more than 30 days after receipt or or through normal usage, please contact me to see if it still might be reparable for a small fee.
In situations where a customer is simply unhappy with what they have purchased, I will consider a return and partial refund so that the item can hopefully be sold to another customer who will appreciate it. If you want to discuss these options after a purchase, please contact me through my Contact page within 30 days of purchase.
